My Favorite Chemical Reaction

My favorite chemical reaction would have to be the energy released from burning fossil fuels. Now some people may not be too happy about this, with good reason, but it is the burning of these fuels that makes our lifestyle the way it is. Without us being able to create usable energy, we would be without many of the luxuries that we do today. Electricity would be impossible and because of theat many areas of our life would be negatively affected, inluding our diets, homes, transportation, industry amongst other things. These fuels run our life and without them our livestyles and economy could be hundreds of years behind how it is today. While I say it is may favorite chemical reaction, I do believe that it is in many ways hazardous and new ways of creating energys could and should be made, for example, hydrogen energy could be created or ethenol could be more efficient (right now the energy used to create ethenol makes it just as bad as fossil fuels).
